Rooted in the Valley
Feeding Leavenworth with love and soil. Cascade Valley Commons is a non-profit dedicated to community food sovereignty by growing and distributing fresh food across the valley.
Cultivating Sovereignty
Founded in the heart of Washington, Cascade Valley Commons began as a visionary effort to restore community food autonomy and collective growth in Leavenworth.
Operating with regenerative, soil-building agricultural practices — including Korean Natural Farming and JADAM methodologies — our goal is to steward land in a way that restores ecological health while directly addressing food insecurity in our community. Healthy soils build healthy communities.
In partnership with local landowners such as Mike and Carol Wentink of Haus Rohrbach Pension (www.hausrohrbach.com), we aim to responsibly utilize available farmland for charitable food production. This collaboration transforms private land into a community asset, supporting both environmental stewardship and local hunger relief efforts.
Through seasonal sales at the Leavenworth Farmers Market and grant funding opportunities available to agricultural nonprofits, we create a financially sustainable model where land, community, and charitable giving work together.
